Those Questions

 

During November, 45 people answered the anonymous set of questions about things they were thankful for, aspects of Christian faith they found nourishing, aspects of Christian faith they found puzzling, and covenant commitments they were prepared to make to God. 

 

One striking feature was the theme that came most often in people’s account of things they were thankful for.  It was their family, their friends, and their good health.  In a time when many people are lonely and many families are fragmented, how blessed many of us are to be able to rejoice in our families and friends!

 

An interesting aspect of the replies to the third question (what people found puzzling) was that one or two people said something like “Nothing, really,” while one or two others said something like “Pretty well everything, really.”  One concrete topic that featured was the Second Coming, and Advent makes that a good question to begin with.
